A note on grant writing
No grant is guaranteed. A very well-written proposal can get declined, and we may never know why. Traditional grantmaking is tied to maintaining the status quo and is, therefore, inherently inequitable. That being said, a grant proposal with thought and intention behind it that accurately fits the organization it represents, will have a better chance of getting funded. A grant proposal that thoroughly answers each question will have a better chance of getting funded. And a grant proposal that demonstrates the clear alignment between you or your organization and the funding entity will have a better chance of getting funded.
Grants Research
For nonprofits - is your organization ready to apply for grants? This is not an end-all, be-all, but worth considering if your organization is still very new.
